I am an european who is into cars since childhood and Doug actually did this better than I did. Im so freaking impressed by his knowledge right now. Cupra is not electic only, there's like four Cupra models and i think only one is electric... I've no idea why they've created Cupra brand, it only makes Seat look cheap and ordinary.

I'm seriously impressed by Dougs knowledge of all these European cars! I also recognized all of them, but I am a car nerd who grew up in The Netherlands (that's in Europe). I have seen all of these. I love the fact that there are so many Citroens in this list. That brand never made the best cars in the worlds, but almost all of their designs are at least interesting. Even the Nemo looks good for such a small commercial van-like car. It is very utilitarian and practical, because it was meant to be just that. The Autobianchi Y10 is a rebadge of the rather posh Lancia Ypsilon. Lastly, the Renault Dokker (cool car!) is sold as a Dacia Dokker in most European countries. Dacia is not known outside of Europe, so they branded them as Renault there. If you are in an accident in a Seicento it actually will be game over (5:05), because it was rated as one of the worst EuroNCAP tested cars in a crash at the time. The Renault Fluence was indeed the first electric car, although the original Fluence was a petrol car.

Doug, think again, please! Buy the C3 Picasso istead of Xsara Picasso. The Xsara Picasso is designed with the old ISA stardard (=Italian Standadr Ape), though being from France. You need mile long arms and Your legs need to be cut off to find a comfortable driving position. C3 has more forgiving driving position. Better adjustments. On the other hand it is prone to anti pollution failure. Some obscure sensor goes wrong in the fuel delivery system and is PIA to correct. Gasoline or diesel, its all the same. And C3:s are not yet 25 year old?

I have to say, I’m impressed by Doug’s knowledge. As an European, I could get almost all of them just fine, but if I got American brands to recognize, I would fail with the first “Freedom EagleRipper”.

Even Filippo does not know, that the Arosa is the Seat version of the Lupo, not the Polo. The Polo was not the smallest VW model back then.

the Xsasra Picasso was a really reliable car. My grandad had one for as long as I can remember until his death, It was a 2004 and he died 2 years ago, it was sold 1 year ago (don't know the mileage), but there was absolutely nothing wrong with it mechanically. Visually it was fucked up from birth, I don't see Doug's appeal, it's a disgusting bubble to look at and the interior is on par with a public bus.

The Citroen Nemo also I believe was sold as the Ram Promaster City here in the States

Cupra is not electric yet!! They splitted the brand to produce sporty 300hp cars and even use the 5 cylinder from Audi!

The rebadged A4 was called the Seat Exeo! My uncle rented one in Germany back in 2011 or so and sent me a picture because he had NO idea what it was

The B7 Audi A4 was rebadged as Seat Exeo. They sold it for 5 years after the A4 B7 was taken out of production in 2008.

That was a Dacia Dokker, not a Renault Dokker. I am surprised there were no Dacia models in the list since they are among the best selling cars in many European countries (models such as Sandero and Duster).

Cupra is not only electric, it produces "sportier" versions of Seat models, and an electric car based on the ID3. In the close future, Seat is about to quit car production, however, Cupra is expected to continue

Yes Doug, DO NOT import the Seat, or its VW or Ford counterparts. A family member owned one, most electronics problems I have ever seen on a car (saying that coming from a family with rich BMW and JLR history…)
